How would you have them do it? Bluetooth audio is absolute garbage and completely makes $100 headphones useless. Maybe BT 5.0 is good, but PS4 doesn't have that. Also with a dongle it's easy plug and play with PC where I use my Golds as my PS+ ran out and the PS4 collects dust.
Isn't this only their second game? I would certainly hope it's bigger and better than their first effort as a studio.
Well that depends. If it's "good" and I mean that for the typical gamer, then even if it's not GOW amazing review wise it can still sell well. If word of mouth is good and 1 in 20 PS4 owners buy it, then that's 3.75 million.
@Genuine-User
Yeah, just like 1940s Disney movies can't be in HD. Oh wait...
Only difference from 3rd parties and SoW is that it's Play Anywhere and will be in the Windows Store as well as steam for the regular PC version.
Same boat as you, but substitute One X for PC.
Uh no. lol
Educate yourself on VR please. VR sickness in RE7 is due to locomotion. Some people are fine, but most will get sick using an analog stick to move while your body is motionless. Plenty of Oculus and Gear VR games that run great, but will still cause sickness, because of the dissonance between body and mind.
@ notachance
Wasn't that version gimped to 720p@30fps. Doubt it sold well.
@BiggerBoss
That game is the exception and not the rule. It's one of the best selling games of all time.
3 platforms? Square has confirmed no PC version at launch. The longer they take to release a port the less PC players will care.
Lay off the coffee, Tweak.
Swipe up for map is the only thing I'm aware of, definitely doesn't warrant an appearance on a "best of" list.
No Shadow of Mordor.
Fail.
Those articles are old.
The writer of this just used CV1 Oculus.
Wrong on so many levels. Oculus also uses OLED, but it has 2 vs 1 and both are higher res = PS VR Cheaper.
External power source merely handles audio and unwarps the image back to the TV = not expensive hardware.
Sony has confirmed Amazon leaks were fake and incorrect.
Sony is not bleeding money and could very conceivable sell PS VR at cost to trojan horse the whole VR industry.
"We have been working on VR for a long time. A lot of these players did not even come into the game until long after we were well along on our current path"
What a bunch of BS. Sony started R&D for PS VR back in 2010. Oculus was first to market with devkits and consumer product, but acting like everyone jumped on the bandwagon after them is just not true.
Well $850 CDN is $600 USD so...yeah.
@ u4one
PS VR uses the PS4 camera which commonly retails for $40.
PS VR also only has 1 screen instead of 2, and at lower res even thought it is RGB thankfully.
Sony also has their own manufacturing instead of needing to hire outside firms.
PS VR WILL BE under $599, but I won't speculate on price beyond that.
It's actually not at all uncommon for games in UK to launch on a Friday following a Tuesday US release date. That being said I wish they had stuck to releasing the game on a Friday so I can have the whole weekend with it.
You're lying. PS3 only supported BT headsets for online chat. It does not work to output game/movie audio.
